Strategies for Improving My Poker Game – Advice Needed
Hello everyone,
I've played poker for some time now, casually with friends mostly, but I'm becoming serious about getting better. Recently, I've been seeing that my tactics don't work quite as well against more skilled players. I catch myself overestimating hands or making bad choices when the game is close to ending.
I've done a little bit of reading on things such as pot odds, hand ranges, and implied odds, but I still find myself having trouble utilizing these in actual play. I was curious if anyone that frequents this board has any recommendations on how to get better with these things, particularly when the stakes are high, and I get a little overwhelmed.
I came across this website https://www.poker-red.com/foros/estrategias/Sitecore certification-no-limit-niveles-medios/duda-teorica-en-strategia-short-stack but still need some help in improving my poker game.
Also, I’d appreciate any tips on how to manage the mental side of the game. I’ve heard poker is as much about psychology as it is about strategy, and I’m keen to develop that aspect of my play as well.
Looking forward to your advice and hoping to level up my game!
Best,
